Atlano

A habit, goal, balance-wheel and journaling app I build and ship solo — end-to-end.

Solo: product, design and all three codebases — mobile, web and API — plus database, billing and ops.

Problem

Habit apps count streaks but ignore whether your life is actually in balance — and most fall over the moment you go offline.

Approach

Offline-first and multi-surface: a React Native app with a local SQLite mirror, a web app, and a Hono / Postgres API sharing one typed core.

Outcome

Shipped to v2.2.0 with 2FA and multi-currency billing live — a life-balance wheel, day planner and journal on top of a real offline sync engine.

The hard parts

  • State-based delta sync with a per-user monotonic revision watermark — replaced an unbounded append-only changelog.
  • Soft-delete tombstone propagation and whole-row version-OCC conflict resolution.
  • A monorepo spanning 3 apps + 1 shared package, typed end-to-end from database to UI.

Sync wire format

{ entity, op, id, seq, version, row }

Vereign AG — Switzerland

Frontend and mobile engineer on a Zero-Trust authentic-communication platform. Owned the mobile side end-to-end (React Native + Expo, App Store / Google Play). Built the Personal Data Wallet UI on Credo-TS, the Outlook plugin (Microsoft AppSource) and a Chrome extension. Contributed to a Swiss healthcare Zero-Trust project (IPFS, self-signed cert identity) on the frontend/integration side. Contributed fixes upstream to Credo-TS.

About

I'm a senior full-stack engineer with 16+ years of commercial experience. I started at SimbirSoft straight after a non-IT degree, ramped through 30+ projects across very different stacks, and have spent most of the last decade working remotely with clients in the US, Germany, Switzerland and elsewhere.

The last 6.5 years I was at Vereign (Switzerland) building a Zero-Trust authentic-communication platform — primarily on frontend and mobile: cryptographically verifiable email, self-sovereign identity on Credo-TS, IPFS-based storage, mobile apps shipped to the App Store and Google Play, and an Outlook plugin distributed via Microsoft AppSource.

After Vereign I took a year of focused product work — shipping ~20 small experiments and going deep on the modern AI stack (Zencoder + Cursor as primary IDE plugins, plus Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek for product features and research). Now looking to bring this product mindset back into a focused team.

How I work

  • End-to-end ownership
I can take a product from idea to production solo — frontend, backend, mobile, infra and release.
  • Comfortable in unknown stacks
At SimbirSoft I was the engineer rotated onto troubled projects — ramp on a new stack within weeks and stabilize delivery.
  • AI-assisted, not AI-replaced
I use Zencoder + Cursor and multi-LLM workflows daily to ship faster, with careful review of every output.
  • Direct communication
No agency, no middlemen — you talk to the engineer who writes the code.
